Why UFG?
Historically, tokens accrue revenue from fees from activities such as trading and teams are entrusted to perform actions that benefit the token such as buybacks, burns, strategic allocations, etc. Yet oftentimes, especially in periods of explosive growth and hypermania, those funds are misappropriated by teams for their own benefit while tokenholders are left holding the bag. In addition, these treasuries are held in multisigs which more often than not can get exploited. Tokens are backed by faith and their value is tied to the attention they can hold. Once that faith is gone, there is nothing left backing the token. But what if there was an even if a team completely disappeared, there is still a reserve behind a token that holders can rely on.
As a tokenholder you, no matter how the size of your contribution is whether it be by holding it or trading it, you are creating genuine value for the token. You should have a stake in where that value accrues. A paradigm shift is necessary to bring power to tokenholders where it belongs so teams are kept in check all the while the token grows in meaningful backing.
At UFG, we believe that tokenholders should have a stake in the value they create. We accomplish this with The Immutable Treasury, a new type of protocol with no owner and can only be accessed with the $UFG token. Its first iteration, the Immutable Treasury v1 is accruing a treasury of ETH from trading fees. It has no owner, no upgrade path, and no pause switch. It never trades, lends, stakes, or buys its own token. Every rule was fixed at launch and is readable on chain.
Any holder of $UFG can redeem their pro rata share of the treasury. When a redeem is executed, their $UFG is burned and their portion of the treasury is redeemed minus the exit fee. The exit fee is returned back into the treasury, creating a permanent floor and a dynamic where it is always rising while the supply of $UFG becomes deflationary.
Vanguard became the most trusted name in finance by serving one constituency: the people who hold its funds. It returned every dollar of would-be profit to them as lower fees, and buying and holding its index fund beat Wall Street at its own game.
Onchain finance today looks like the speculative era that preceded Vanguard. Nearly every vault, yield product, and token rises and falls with the price of crypto itself, so anyone who wants to preserve wealth has to leave the chain. At UFG, we are here to change that.
United Founders Group exists to be the place to preserve wealth onchain. We serve one constituency, our tokenholders, and that alignment is embedded in code. As tokenized stocks bring real businesses onchain, UFG will become a stake in the upside of the global economy, for anyone with a little patience.
